The Wave of the Predator

The business class discounts that my brother Jim has been enjoying as part of the package of his work contract with the conglomerate that he has worked for has fed his appetite for globe trotting; it is his task to look into the progress of his clients located in different parts of the country, and since he loves to travel, work becomes such a pleasure for him to do. He has been working for this multinational company for more than a decade already, and as the representative to the many clients from different places, a lot of people assume that he is some kind of a traveling salesperson, one who is high powered though and who can afford to jet set with the best of the lot. All the expenses incurred during his trips are funded by his company, and they cover everything from his room and meals to the transportation, which aside from the plane tickets might include car rentals or a limousine service; it boggles the mind if he has to spend any money out of his own pocket for these trips. Lucky for them, Jim has integrity and only charges the company for the expenses that are really necessary, and when his business is done at a particular town or city, he usually winds down by visiting local establishments and familiarizing himself with the popular sights. Our younger siblings always welcome his homecoming from these business trips with giddiness, since he never fails to bring gifts and new stories from the far off places he frequents.
